Resorts of the Baltic coast: last, real, future

v reports of conferees with the Lithuanian side G. of Vitku-sa, V. Safronova, at. Plukharova-Grigene, N. Strakauskayge, B. Burau-skyge and others touched two main subjects: the fate of the Lithuanian and German refugees at the final stage of war and their reflection in "cultural memory" of modern residents of Lithuania. The interesting message was made by associate professor A. Arbushauskayge who told about deportation of "the Kaliningrad Germans" from Lithuania in 1951

It is necessary to celebrate also I. Tauber's performance. On the example of events in East Prussia he focused on the issue of responsibility of the state and military authorities for the fate of civilians in the years of war. Very interesting was its remark on the politized V. Shilas's report on "genocide of the population of Small Lithuania". Tauber emphasized that any of the German researchers never talked about genocide of the population of East Prussia from the Soviet authorities, and he "does not know such toponym & #34; Small Litva"". Life the province East Prussia in which the German citizens including Lithuanians lived".

All at a conference about twenty reports which were followed by the brisk discussion and exchange of views useful to all conferees were heard. Following the results in 2009 it is planned to publish the collection of materials.
