Of course, not only one political benefit pushed the prince to this decision, and his grandma, the princess Olga, also, presumably, mother of the prince Malush was a Christian, and his famous uncle Dobrynya ispove-dyvat the right belief. Vladimir who in 17 years occupied the Princely table and establishing pagan idols in Kiev nevertheless was internally ready to the Epiphany, and, we will repeat that not only the political self-interest dictated to it this way.

Another — opens in the following: many high cultures existed at all without the fact that it is usually considered to be special achievements, for example, of writing or stone construction, mechanical devices or use in life of tools from metal. Probably, the purposes of carriers of such cultures, their judgment of terrestrial life significantly differed from our representations. These provisions were developed by the American erudite A. Kumarasva-mi in the work "Unless I am My Brother's Keeper?" (see: Am I my brother&s keeper? N.-Y., 1947; the same work was published also in London in 1947, but under the name "Literacy as Barrier" — "The bugbear of literacy"). "Kumarasvami personified steadily developing school of a mythological and anthropological thought which outgrew provincialism of the nineteenth century and ceased to equate concepts of wisdom, progress and culture to inherent in the modern West of affectation and a vzbudorazhennost" — see: A. Bury who was specially studying Konstantin Bagryanorodny's composition "About management of the Empire" (apprx. 952 g), points to the amazing fact of cultural domination of Slavs: first, Slavic words for designation of some state concepts (!) occur in the Greek text, secondly, negotiations with rusa were conducted from the very beginning in Slavic, thirdly, laws and customs of Pechenegs and also the Magyar (the last example as the researcher considers, is taken from Magyar sources) are designated by the Slavic word "law" in the Greek transliteration, but not the Greek vó^OQ leaders the Magyar are called by the Slavic term of a role of "voivode". And here conclusion of Bury: "I believe that this results from the fact that between those people which were in the constant intercourses with the neighbors, Bulgarians and east Slavs, Slavic language was some kind of linqua franca (common language) so the known number of Slavic words was very widespread among the non Slavic people of the Danube and Dnieper regions. In the intercourses with foreigners, Pechenegs and Magyars was the most suitable to use such words, and it their emergence in the treatise by Konstantin could speak".

of Slavic peoples". In the unique investigations Trubachev suggests about "the in-doariysko-Slavic cultural and language contacts focused on Old Scythia by Gerodota10. If we do not acknowledge the possibility of these contacts, we will not misunderstand or we will misunderstand language history" 11 — claims uchenyy12.

Of course, the Christianity brought the Greek liturgical vocabulary to Russia. But! The scientists working on "The dictionary of the Old Russian XI-XVP language of centuries" found out that in the most ancient Russians — not liturgical — texts not less than 10,000 times the word god meets, and a word god has "deep-pagan origin". "Even without special calculations. a conclusion about the nuclear, basic and most frequency use of the terms taken by Christianity from an old pre-Christian cult is permissible: Saint, belief, god, paradise, spirit, soul, sin, law and some other. From now on what for centuries and even in the millennia served old belief (and, for example, the word god was issued as religious probably under the Iranian influence during a Scythian era, that is at least for more than one thousand years before the Christianization of Kievan Rus') began to serve new faith in Christ." 14.

Geogr. III, V, 9) & #34; and below vened — galinda and sudina, and stavana to аланов". Including this certificate doubtful reflection of the Slavic self-name * slovéne (a strong deviation of a form, too early fixing — 2nd century AD), scientists carried this name to Sarmatian, to the Baltic breeding names, cf. the valid neighbourhood of a name of a stavana from alana and also with undoubted Balts — sudina and galinda. However, it was truly noticed that this list just reflects quite good acquaintance of the ancient geographer to the people occupying & #34; Azov and Baltic коридор". It would be inexplicable and is unnatural if in this space absolutely there were no Slavs. Communication of forms * to slovéne and Zmoavoínesomnenna, it it is only necessary to explain. Cf. other - Indus. * stávana-or Iran., avistas. stavana-& хвалимый&, a participle from a verb other - Indus. * stauti, avistas. & to praise staolti, славить&. It is difficult not to see here that Indo-Aryan or — this time the general Indo-Iranian * stavana-, Zzavavoí — was transfer Slavic * slovéne with substitution of st-instead of the difficult sl-group (we will remember similar substitution of glories. sl-the Greek oqk in this name) and also with natural reflection of Slavic vocalism about-é in the form of unique Indo-Iranian and — and (can be, with the longitude of the second and, cf. vocalism of an Old Indian form above, against the background of the probable longitude of glories. é in * slovéne). Another is important. This transfer had character of the intelligent translation tracing-paper that speaks about a certain extent of engagement and also kind of confirms in our eyes here a rare example of a unification of national and scientific etymology which are distinguished from each other only by absence or existence of necessary steps of word formation why in one case the same communication is kind of incorrect (national etymology славяне< the glory), and in another — is right (scientific etymology * slovéne< * slovo, * sluti> * slava).

Here twelve sons of the grand duke were baptized in one source which kept the memory of this event in the name — the Khreshchatyk. In the first three years Orthodoxy triumphed on all great way "from Greeks in Varangians", was stretched to Northern lands, only Novgorod, showed to Rostov da Moore resistance, but gradually and it was preodoleno1. Creating the new great power, the prince Vladimir saw a basis of durability it in unity national, strengthened by a creative Life-giving Word and Spirit. According to the legend, in 990 or 992 g. the prince equal to the apostles visited the country Suzdal where he itself brought the certificate of the Truth to which with humility, like Kiev residents, inhabitants of these edges listened; and on the bank of the river of Klyazma put the city named by Vladimir where constructed wooden church of the Dormition of the Theotokos.

Vladimir Baptist entered Russia into great Christian family. He created new type of the Russian statehood — Christian which indispensable ideal was a distribution of the world on the earth, God's glories, but not human, umire-ny passions, hostility and "hated discord of this world", opposition to a sin and defect; "not to us, not us, but your name" was served in all history of Russia while there was an orthodox kingdom, the best Russian people.

Russian world as the chronicle of world events shows, was the main stronghold of a Christian civilization — destruction led it to catastrophic consequences for all mankind. And the attempt of restoration of the empire in the 40th of the 20th century and creation vseslavyansky (the East European socialist camp) the union, alas, bore poor fruits. Success was short-lived because the godlessness became a cornerstone of this formation. Veliky deception of the Russian people during World War II, and in the Soviet Union, and in dispersion, became indispensable guarantee of shattering falling of all communistic design, but not only it. Everything that occurs today in the world, is, on

Vladimir did not forget this, and after a sacred Epiphany he on the place of death of these martyrs for Christ's belief erected the Deiparous temple, the well-known "Tithe" church, in pursuance of the God's precept to give to the Lord tithe from the manors ("And any tithe on the earth from seeds of the earth and from fruits of a tree belongs to the Lord: it is the Lord's shrine... And any tithe... from everything that passes under a staff the tenth has to devote to the Lord". Lion. 27. 30, 32).

The Christ's spirit of the doctrine and the authority of Church got all parties of the state and national life. The church and the State went hand in hand — so was also at the St. prince, and in the subsequent times up to the known events of the second half of the 17th century. In fact, the prince Vladimir established that symphony of the authorities about which the emperor Justinian wrote in the short stories, that vivifying principle of internal balance that came to us from Byzantium and generally remained throughout the entire period of the Moscow kingdom.

Vladimir Veliky put the basis to a monarchist system of our power. This system on the being is a system theocratic. God is the highest lord of the sky and earth. And the Saint prince, itself having accepted the Epiphany, already consecrated with this act the ruling right hand: the power is consecrated, it from God Istinn now.

Russia from now on found the status of the kingdom and entered a rank of great powers (as the tradition is deep and integral!).

The policy had it a certain all-European character. And by marriages of the children it fixed communications Polish, Hungarian, Swedish even stronger. On the death of the tsarevna Anna the prince married again, having taken this time the spouse from the German imperial house, Otton Veliky's granddaughter, but who was also a native niece Feofano. Thus the Russian Land at St. Vladimir found a high position among the European states and together

held strong communication with Byzantium; and the grand duke consciously proved the European way of development of the Russian power. But, apparently, it was possible only in the conditions of a uniform Christian oykumena.

And therefore, on the one hand, today's political concept of inclusion of Russia in the all-European union has very deep roots, but, with another — promyslitelno our history went in other ways, in the ways of maintaining the right belief, to that, obviously, there was a will national after 1054, tragic for life of a Christian civilization, Vladimir Baptist rested in 1015, however it is simple to assume which would be its position, happen falling away of the Roman department during lifetime of the prince. I not without reason with a name of Pushkin in further history of the Russian thought so connected the largest turning points of revival and awakening of national pure feelings. The celebration of opening of a monument to Pushkin in Moscow in 1880 when the fiery word of Dostoyevsky, a name of Pushkin, the Russian society was awakened from charms of international and revolutionary nonsense was such moment and suddenly felt to the Russians, Orthodox Christians invested by the highest spiritual calling again. Perhaps, this spiritual awakening delayed our heavy accident for forty years and gave many healthy sprouts in the Russian soul, not the dead and hitherto.

Who knows

what consequences for awakening of the Russian feeling will be had by a current celebration of his name. Whether it will be connected with a dawn of revival of our Homeland?
